The Innovation & Incubation Center at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST) was founded on 1st July 1997.  Since 2017, the center officially became a first-level administrative unit at STUST, being renamed as Innovation & Entrepreneurship Incubation Headquarter. The Headquarter is composed of Enterprise Investment & Training Group and Creativity-Innovation-Entrepreneurship Educations & Business Group. Enterprise Investment & Training Group handles two centers: Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Innovation & Incubation Center; and Arts Industries Incubation Center. It also by contract manages New Sugarcane Field (formerly, the SME Incubator at the Southern Taiwan Science Park).

 

The Enterprise Investment & Training Group integrates STUST resources, spaces, and equipment, which combines many resources such from industry, academia, research and development, and administration. The Enterprise Investment & Training Group assists entrepreneurs in nurturing new businesses, new products, new technologies, and also helps SMEs to upgrade and transform by providing space, equipment and R&D technology, co-financing, business services, management consulting, and government resources, Hence, the Enterprise Investment & Training Group effectively combines multiple resources to reduce costs and to decrease risks in the early stage of R&D. As a result, the Enterprise Investment & Training Group creates an excellent cultivation environment and enhances opportunities for career success.

 

Creativity-Innovation-Entrepreneurship Education & Business Group executes the related courses and related competitions for Creativity-Innovation-Entrepreneurship Education in the STUST. The group links the STUST resources and STUST capacity of existing hardware equipment, manpower, departments, and various centers to provide entrepreneurial students with excellent an entrepreneurial environment and services.

 

The creative courses of each department, entrepreneurship courses (initial practice micro-learning), Creativity-Innovation-Entrepreneurship competitions, common open space, and offshoot enterprises, are formed and are where the steps of teachers and students can be planned one by one. The resources of the headquarters are combined to provide all-round service (such as technology, talents, business, information and administrative resources) for the entrepreneurial teams. Seamlessly, we will create a one-stop service to create a campus-inspired atmosphere of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship, and create a success roadmap for teachers and students in their future ventures.
